Standing Sprays, Baskets, or Wreaths?
In Hong Kong funeral custom, these three forms are not interchangeable. The standing spray is the most conspicuous—a tall, rigid structure typically sent by corporations or organisations, positioned at the entrance or along the aisle. The flower basket is fuller and softer in silhouette, usually placed nearer the altar or the front rows; it suits closer personal relationships or a more intimate tribute. The wreath, circular and unbroken, carries the symbolism of eternal life and victory over death in the Western tradition.
Confirm with the venue before ordering. Many funeral parlours restrict both the number and placement of large standing pieces, and delivery logistics vary considerably from one location to another.
